Construction work on our Thorpe Paddocks development in Thorpe Thewles is now complete, with all 31 homes on the exclusive scheme sold.
The scheme comprises three, four and five-bedroom luxury homes thoughtfully designed to appeal to families of all sizes.
As part of the planning agreement for the development, Homes by Carlton have contributed over £195,000 towards public facilities in the area. This includes more than £130,000 for the maintenance of open spaces and over £60,000 towards primary education.
Simon Walker, Managing Director of Homes by Carlton, said: “With much of the Thorpe Paddocks development programme occurring during the height of the Coronavirus pandemic, I’m delighted to be able to say that we were able to continue to make excellent progress on-site. We’re pleased to have now welcomed the final new homeowners to this beautiful development.”
Emma Worth, Development Manager at Homes by Carlton, said: “It was encouraging to see exceptional buyer interest in Thorpe Paddocks even amidst the challenging environment that resulted post-pandemic.
“I believe this interest is indicative of the demand for our bespoke designs and high specification throughout the North East which, as a regional housebuilder, we’re able to deliver whilst considering the needs of the local area.”
Thorpe Paddocks Site Manager Kirk Hardy received a prestigious NHBC Pride in the Job Award for his dedication to raising standards in house building, one of just 443 chosen from a field of 8,000 site managers.
Simon Walker, Managing Director of Homes by Carlton, said: “This was a well-deserved accolade for Kirk and our team at Thorpe Paddocks who have worked tirelessly to ensure the homes were built to exacting standards.”
After Thorpe Paddocks’ successful completion, we currently have a further four developments underway across County Durham and Darlington – Middleton Waters in Middleton St George; The Langtons in Redmarshall, Eastfields in Whitton and Beauford Park in Witton Gilbert.
